Declaration of solidarity to the Siberian miners

Hello miners, relatives and friends, As a former miner in the German coal industry and as the main coordinator of the International Miners' Coordination, you have my sympathy and solidarity. We learned about the horrific accident in your mine in Kemerovo through the media. But we also feel anger and indignation that such an accident is happening in this day and age. There have long been methods and modern techniques at the highest level to protect the safety of miners and also the people living around a mine from such damage.

We support a complete clarification of the causes of this accident, that those responsible are held accountable! We also support unconditional compensation and care for the relatives of those who died or were injured in this accident! We are the International Miners' Coordination (by miners for miners), founded in Peru in 2013. Our opponents are the global mining companies and their subservient governments, who unscrupulously "save" on safety, among other things, for their maximum profit and thus endanger the lives and health of the miners. This is evident right now with the 2018 global economic and financial crisis reinforced by the Corona pandemic. It is becoming clear that miners are less and less able to assert their interests only at the national level. Please inform us about your situation and write how we can support you. We have started to prepare the 3rd International Miners' Conference, which will take place in Germany in 2022. We would be happy if you could support the preparation and if someone could participate. It shows that the miners can learn from each other and have to stick together internationally. Because united we are an invincible force. We wish you much strength and stand side by side! In deepest sympathy and with solidarity greetings Andreas Tadysiak Chief Coordinator of the International Miners' Coordination
