To the striking South African miners and their union NUM
Dear friends and comrades,
We send you our warmest congratulations on your successful strike in the coal mines. This is an important step in the struggle for higher wages, which consolidates the unity of the miners and at the same time represents an encouragement for the entire working class in South Africa. Also for the German working class are those struggles an important signal confirming the experience, "who fight may lose, who does not fight has already lost".
