Hello miners from the Syama Gold Mine of Resolute Mining. You have my full solidarity in your strike against forced leave and leave of absence without pay for miners. We understand this is the second time you are fighting to protect your health in the Covid 19 pandemic. Here you are quite rightly demanding that the mining company takes the protection of miners' health seriously, but also that when you are on leave, your salaries continue to be paid so that you and your families can live decently.
We, the International Coordination of Mineworkers, support your struggle and make it known worldwide. Write to us to let us know how we can continue to support you. When we founded the International Coordination of Mineworkers, we stated: "Today it is less and less possible to confront the international mining monopolies in isolation and on a local basis. What we need is the unity of workers all over the world!" (Excerpt from the founding declaration of the IMC)
I would be happy if we could contribute and participate in the preparation of the 3rd International Miners' Conference 2022 in Germany. Your experiences are important so that the miners of the world can learn from each other and we can become a superior force against the international mining monopolies and their governments to assert our interests.
