Fundraising campaign for miners' families in Ukraine a success!

We are pleased to report that the four-week fundraising campaign organised by the miners' initiative “Kumpel für AUF” (Miners for AUF) was very successful We received a report from the mining town of Novovolynsk on how the funds were used. Our trade union colleague writes: ‘The purchases were made by our colleague in Poland. The goods are much cheaper there than in Ukraine and there is a wider selection.’
The purchases mainly consisted of items and materials such as electric blankets, which are very important for the harsh winter. The photos show miners and their wives who were the first to receive our international aid.
The colleague continues: ‘We are continuing our work! Once again, many thanks from all the miners in Novovolynsk and their wives!’
