South Afrika: Residents demand jobs in mines

In the south african province Mpumalanga this week took place protest-‭ ‬and‭ ‬blockade-actions in front of coal mines.‭ ‬So blocked‭ ‬500‭ ‬residents from Phosa and Ogies the access to Glencore coal mine Goedegevonden.‭ ‬There were also protest marches in front of the coal mines of Anglo American.‭ ‬The peoples demand that the corporation comply whith their commitments:‭ ‬at least‭ ‬30‭ ‬%‭ ‬of the jobs should be for‭ ‬the residents of the region.‭ ‬So far these are empty promises.‭
