We, the 250 participants of the cultural festival, protest in the strongest possible terms against the imprisonment and prejudgement of the militant miners from Chiatura/Georgia and the endless postponement of their trial!
The people of Chiatura need the jobs in manganese mining and the processing industry. Their demands for secure jobs, protection for nature and the population, etc. are justified, and we declare our solidarity with their struggle.
We demand their release and strongly oppose the constant postponement of their trials. Their perseverance is an example to us all!
We also call on all workers and friends of the miners to join the protest and express their solidarity.
