Miners and the environmental movement together – worldwide! Let's save the foundations of human life'
With the rightward development and fascistisation of the governments of many countries, the attacks on the masses are intensifying with restrictions of bourgeois democratic rights and the shifting of the burdens of the crisis. There is also an intensified attack on nature and the foundations of human life, as for example in Germany, where many environmental and occupational safety requirements are to be abolished.
The miners and their families are increasingly affected by this.
The danger of world war, as a particular danger to the foundations of human life, has increased enormously with the election of Donald Trump and the fascistisation of emerging new imperialist countries. The war in Ukraine, Palestine and Lebanon, the nature of the weapons and the nuclear risk seriously threaten the lives of the affected population and all of humanity. (Fathi had ‘affected citizens’ – I would replace that with ‘population’ – the rest of the sentence is his.
The ruthless competition among monopolies resulting from the world economic and financial crisis that began in 2018 is leading to intensified exploitation of people and nature.
Trump has already announced that he will withdraw from the Paris Agreement, which is already inadequate. Many millions of dollars were donated by fossil fuel companies, coal-burning companies and the arms industry to Trump's election campaign.
The existence of humanity is being callously and deliberately put at risk by corporations and their servile governments!
The 29th UN Climate Change Conference started on 11/24/11 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Environmental activists in the country are already being suppressed and arrested in the run-up to the conference!
At the 3rd International Miners‘ Conference in Thuringia/Germany in 2023, the call
’Miners rise up against the global environmental catastrophe that has begun' was unanimously adopted.
Miners and their families: Join the militant youth and environmental movement in taking up the decisive fight to save the natural foundations of human life!
The fight for a dignified life must be waged now, otherwise it will be too late.
Glück Auf
